GIS Sales Engineers – Graduate level

We are looking for recently qualified GIS graduates who want to pursue a more commercial career path. We are one of fastest Mapping software companies in the world and we need new talent to join our team based on Swords, Co. Dublin.

We take the complexity out of mapping software by making our software powerful and easy to use. We have built in specific workflow for Sales, marketing and Service Operations people – we make mapping software easy.

We have thousands of users of our cloud based mapping software. Most of our customers are in North America and we have some of the biggest households names committed to long term relationships with us.

As part of our continued growth strategy, we are looking for a super star to join our team.

Hours

Most of the customers you will deal with are based in North America so you will have to work a couple of evenings per week. We offer a flexible approach to this with working from home and alternating rotas.

Location

The role will be office based in our office in Swords, North County Dublin

The Position

The role of sales engineers essentially involves listening to our customer’s pain points and revealing / demonstrating how eSpatial can solve these specific problems. They play an important role in our sales process.

The GIS Sales Engineer will work as part of the Sales Team performing the following duties:

  • Helping our prospective customers by offering solutions to their business and organizational pain points.
  • Making presentations and demonstrating how eSpatial meets their needs.
  • Work with our Product development team by providing common customer requests.
  • Work alongside our experienced Sales Team.
  • Be part of a wider pool of our Customer facing resources.
  • Training / coaching our Customers.
  • On-Boarding our Customers - helping them achieve value.
  • Support Customers.
  • Lead Webinars.
  • Create innovative resources and materials for all Lead communication channels (e.g. Live Chat, Help Page, In-App conversations / messaging).

About You

Ideally, you will have recently qualified with a Master’s degree in GIS or equivalent subject. This role requires a deep understanding of digital mapping and how it can solve business and organizational problems.

You are looking to embark on a more commercial career leveraging your GIS knowledge. For example, you may have ambitions to be in Sales in the future or in Customer Success Management.

As part of the interview process, you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Excellent customer relationship and consultative skills.
  • Ability to understand business problems and propose GIS-based solutions to drive successful outcomes.
  • Commercially astute.
  • Excellent communication and verbal skills, written, verbal.
  • Experienced in customer management by phone.
  • Effective team working across eSpatial to solve customer problems and requirements.
  • Good understanding of GIS, its use and application.
  • Good understanding of Data Visualisation trends and directions.
  • Good understanding of different industries and how location plays a part in their success.
  • Basic Understanding of SaaS based business models and cloud based solutions .

Your Education & Professional Accreditations

  • Masters or higher degree level education in a GIS related subject
