With eSpatial, we have always included the ability to export an image of your map in a high quality image or PDF. After all, mapping software is a data visualization tool for your organization, so it’s important to be able to present your maps in a visual way to others.
Exporting maps is easy and can be done in just a few clicks. However, when you have a large collection of maps in your Workspace or a sales territory with multiple layers, you’ll need to be able to export them without the need to go through each individual map separately. Up until now, MapBooks could only be produced for Sales territories, however in our latest release, we are expanding it to also include your entire Workspace of maps.
Our MapBooks are a booklet of your maps in a slide deck to give you quick access to your entire collection in seconds. Exporting them in a slide deck means that you can quickly edit or insert the images into other documents, presentations, or directly edit the slide deck itself into your own presentation.
Each MapBook includes a cover slide with a title, author, and a detailed contents slide. If you are creating a MapBook of your Territories, each slide will have a detailed image of each individual territory. Alternatively, Workplace MapBooks will have an individual slide for each map in your Workspace.
Export Your Map Collection In Seconds
So how do you export your MapBooks? All you have to do is simply select the Export Map option on the Control Panel and you will be presented with a range of export options. You will have the option of exporting your current map or all maps in your Workspace. To export your territories, you well need to select the Export Map option form the Territory Builder.
So What Can You Use Your MapBook For?
As mentioned above, MapBooks are a quick way to get a soft and hard copy of your map collection. As maps are a visual way of showcasing business data, the ability of being able to print maps is a must. Whether you are using them in meetings, presentations, or even to post them on your office wall, to motivate your sales team, printed maps are a great resource.
