We’re gearing up for a major release here at eSpatial in April and we wanted to give you a little preview of what’s coming! We are constantly looking at ways to enhance our product and through our valuable customer feedback, we’re proud to give you a quick look at our upcoming April release:
1) Territory Management
Export your territories with MapBook
Users will now be able to export their territory maps into a MapBook, which is essentially a booklet of your territories in a PowerPoint presentation. The MapBook will include each level of a hierarchy, along with a contents page linking to each territory. The MapBook is exported as a slide deck so it can be easily edited and or inserted into other documents. This is a great way to automatically generate a comprehensive slide deck on your territories to deliver in a presentation or share with colleagues.
View your hierarchies in new ways
Currently you can create hierarchies to match your sales team’s organization structure and see their maps in your hierarchy view. In our upcoming release, you will also have the ability to see charts and graphs in hierarchy views showing the balance of your data and market share information at a quick glance throughout your organization’s structure.
Delegate your territories to your Sales Team
Territories in your hierarchy can also be delegated to other members in your team. This gives the ability to assign various permissions to other users, such as viewing or editing of different hierarchy levels so that the workload can be shared. This is great for organisations with large sales teams with lots of sales territories who have multiple people responsible for defining territories and for organisation’s who allow managers define their own sub territories.
Work together more efficiently with Collaboration
Collaboration has been something we’ve significantly enhanced based on customer feedback and we’re delighted to be able to share it with you in our latest release. Users will be able to share entire Workspaces of maps, share with individual users (one of the top requests from our user base!) and enhanced map collaboration. To help with collaboration, we’ll also be introducing In-App and email notifications, so you will be alerted when maps and Workspaces are shared with you, and when changes have been made to them. Allowing greater collaboration and keeping your team informed.
We are continuing to work on various API integration with our customers and partners including; CRM integration and a data upload tool to simplify loading your data into eSpatial. If you’re interested in becoming a partner, please contact us.
We also have lots of background updates to help make your experience as fast and easy as possible. These include changes to the legend in territory builder, the ability to print maps without a legend, new data sets in our library (3 digit zip codes, EU Nuts, Australian Postcodes, & 114th Congressional Districts), the auto zoom after adding or removing filters is now optional defaulting to off, and much more behind the scenes.
Stay tuned to our blog over the next month for a more detailed walk-through of the various features of the new release.
