Prior knowledge of an enemy's intentions and capability together with a detailed appreciation of the operational terrain are war-winning factors thus Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) is a vital and growing area of military effort. Intelligence is gathered by a wide variety of means - human, image, signal - and in many different formats - visual, satellite remote sensed, communication intercept. Collating, displaying and analysing the combined data inputs in a timely and clear fashion is a considerable challenge and is vital in providing commanders with an accurate Intelligence Preparation of the Battlespace.
iSmart offers functionality that can provide benefits across the full gambit of ISR. Its database integration and spatial attributes are ideally suited to the manipulation and display of the various intelligence inputs whilst the very low bandwidth imagery handling capability speeds the management of imagery and can provide a common view of the data from the headquarters through to deployed forces. The phrase "time spent on reconnaissance is seldom wasted" is known to all who have worn uniform. The iSmart Offline Editor will ensure that no time is wasted as it will allow a reconnaissance team operating in the field using a PDA to update data in real time e.g. they could edit data to show a bridge as destroyed and this information would be immediately available to all users.
