Visiting a historical site gives us a window into the past. But while we can wander through a historical site and experience its different aspects, it can be hard to grasp it as a whole – or to understand it in relation to its suroundings.
Google Earth makes it easy for anyone to see a historical site in its entirety – and in relation to its surroundings – with its beautiful aerial imagery.
The latest Google Earth update includes images of historical sites in Scotland, which have also taken the fancy of the team over at the Sociable.
You can view some of the images in the Sociable’s article: “Google Earth imagery update helps uncover part of Scotland’s hidden heritage”
